Residential Treatment Facility

The Residential Treatment Facility (commonly called "The RTF") is a 16 bed residential facility designed to assist individuals with serious and persistent mental health issues to learn to live more independently in the community. Each resident has a private bedroom with common living spaces. The program is staffed 24 hours a day by experienced and qualified counselors.

Services provided to individuals while residing at the RTF may include life skills management (shopping, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene and learning the transportation system), medication management, supportive counseling, social outings/leisure activities training, educational groups, dual disorders groups, crisis intervention and community reintegration. All individuals are required to actively participate in activities during the day. Such as attend the Turning Point Day Treatment, Sedona or Supportive Employment programs. Most residents also receive the services of a Case Manager.

The result:   After staying with us for up to one year, 80 percent are able to move into their own apartments or other less-restrictive environments. That means hospital stays are being substantially reduced, to the benefit of clients and taxpayers.
